How to add security officers to a facility?

Follow these steps to assign a security guard to a facility using the Smart Patrol web platform. Two methods are available depending on your starting point:

Method 1: Assigning a Security Guard via Facility Settings

1. Access the Website

Open your preferred web browser and navigate to https://smartpatrolapp.com.

2. Log In or Create an Account

- If you already have an account, enter your credentials (email and password) on the login page and click "Log In."

- If you don’t have an account, click "Create Account," fill in the required details (e.g., email, password, name), and complete the registration process.

3. Navigate to Facilities

- After logging in, locate the left-hand menu on the dashboard.

- Select "Facilities" to view the list of added facilities (Image 1).

4. Select a Facility to Edit

- Choose the desired facility from the list and click the “Manage” button.

5. Access App Monitoring Settings

- On the facility’s edit page, locate the “App Monitoring Settings” section (Image 2).

6. Assign Security Guards

- In the “Add / Remove Security Guards” dropdown (marked as required), select the guard(s) to assign. Multiple selections may be allowed depending on permissions.

7. Save Changes

- Click the “Save” button to confirm the assignment.

 

Method 2: Assigning a Security Guard via Guard Settings

1. Navigate to Security Guards

- In the left menu, select “Security Guards” (with a person icon) to view a list of added guards (Image 3).

2. Select a Guard to Edit

- Choose the desired guard from the list and click the “Manage” button.

3. Assign to a Facility

- Find the “Assign to Facility” dropdown and select the desired facility. Multiple selections may be allowed depending on permissions (Image 4).

4. Save Changes

- Click the “Save” button to apply the changes.

5. Additional Tips:

- Internet Connection: Ensure a stable connection for real-time updates and to avoid losing changes.

- Permissions: Assigning guards may require administrative access—contact support if you encounter restrictions.

- Verification: After saving, verify the assignment by checking the facility or guard details to ensure accuracy.
